Description

The BeaverCraft AX2 is a compact wood carving adze purpose-built for hollowing and shaping wood from the inside out. Unlike a straight-bladed axe, its curved, arched blade sits at a right angle to the handle, letting you remove material cleanly from the inside of bowls, large spoons, kuksas, ladles, and similar carving projects.
The blade is forged from 1066 high-carbon steel, hardened to 56-58 HRC, holding its edge through extended carving sessions. It's securely fixed to the head for stability during controlled, repeated strokes. The Ashwood handle is treated with linseed oil and wax and shaped to resist slipping in the hand, giving a balanced, comfortable feel whether you're roughing out a shape or working close to a finished surface.
A cowhide leather sheath with a belt loop is included, protecting the curved blade during transport and storage between projects.
