The Silky Pocketboy 170 Outback Edition dresses the pocket-sized Pocketboy for the field. Outback Edition saws pair an Arbor Composite handle with a blade finished in black nickel and tin plating that cuts wood and bone alike, so they suit hunters and bushcrafters as well as arborists. The 170 mm straight blade has medium teeth (10 per 30 mm), the all-round pitch for green and dry wood, and Silky's MIRAI-ME teeth are precision-ground with four cutting angles, so the saw cuts on the pull stroke with little effort and leaves a smooth surface that heals quickly.
The blade locks in two positions and folds to 210 mm, and the impulse-hardened, taper-ground teeth stay sharp about three times longer than untreated teeth.
