Description
A gift-ready set for anyone starting out in spoon and figure carving. The S09 Book holds four BeaverCraft knives in a hinged wooden case shaped like a book: a C4M sloyd knife for roughing out, a C7 chip carving knife, a C8 detail knife and an SK1 spoon hook knife with a 25 mm rounding diameter. A small leather strop with green compound keeps them sharp.
All blades are 1066 high-carbon steel at 57–59 HRC with oiled ash handles. BeaverCraft sharpens its carving tools to a 20° bevel for soft woods such as basswood and recommends against using them on hardwoods, where the fine edge dulls quickly.
BeaverCraft tools are made in Ukraine.
