Description
Basswood is the standard carving wood for beginners: soft, fine-grained and nearly knot-free, so it cuts cleanly in any direction and takes paint or stain well. This set gives you ten kiln-dried, sanded blocks: eight at 2.5 x 2.5 x 15 cm (about 1 x 1 x 6 in) for small whittling projects and two at 5 x 5 x 15 cm (about 2 x 2 x 6 in) for figures, spoons and larger pieces.
