Silky Tsurugi 400 Hand Saw (Large Teeth)

The Silky Tsurugi 400 is a full-tang straight hand saw built for fast, clean pruning cuts. Its 400mm chrome-plated blade carries Silky's large tooth configuration — 8 teeth per 30mm — the most aggressive straight-Tsurugi pitch, clearing chips quickly in fresh green wood and still finishing smoothly in drier or harder limbs. The impulse-hardened teeth hold their edge far longer than conventionally hardened saw teeth. With no handle screws, nuts, or other hardware connecting it to the blade, the Tsurugi 400 may be one of the lightest, best-balanced large hand saws available. The 400mm blade gives real reach on heavier limbs while the slender frame keeps it from binding or damaging opposing branches, and the two-part rubber grip stays comfortable during extended cutting. The blade is laser-cut from SK-4 high-carbon steel with non-set, taper-ground teeth, so it cuts a narrow kerf with little resistance. Blades are replaceable and swap out by hand, letting you move between tooth sizes on the same handle.
