Description
The gold Climb Right by Stein oval carabiner rounds out the colour options in the Climb Right by Stein series, made by STEIN for Spyder Manufacturing's Climb Right line. Gold anodizing is easy to spot against rope and bark, and it gives you a third colour to work with when assigning connectors to specific jobs on the saddle.
An oval carabiner is the same shape at both ends, which lets a pulley, rope grab or other piece of hardware sit centred on the spine and stay there under load. The triple-action locking gate opens only after three separate movements (slide, twist and pull) and relocks automatically the moment you release it. A KeyLock-style snag-free nose means the carabiner slides on and off rope, slings and rigging plates without catching.
Hot-forged from 7075 aviation-grade aluminum, it delivers a 25 kN major-axis rating at just 83 g. Overall size is 115 mm by 65 mm (4.5 in. by 2.6 in.) with a 22 mm (7/8 in.) gate opening. The carabiner is certified to EN 362:2004 (Class B connector) and EN 12275:2013 and carries its own serial number. The same carabiner is also available in blue and red.
