Notch Speedline Kit—40in (Pack of 12)

A speedline is one of the quickest ways to move brush and limbs from the canopy to the chipper. Anchor a rigging line from the tree to the drop zone, clip a sling around each piece, and let it ride the line straight to the ground crew instead of hitting the lawn, the garden beds, or the roof below. This Notch kit gives you twelve ready-to-use speedline slings so a climber can keep cutting while the ground crew keeps chipping. Each sling is 40 in (102 cm) of 1 in tubular nylon rated to 29 kN, girth-hitched to a 7075 aluminum double-action snaphook. The girth hitch lets you rotate the sling to spread wear, and the snaphook can be swapped on its own when it is time for a replacement. The double-action, single-locking gate clips on quickly with one hand and will not shake loose under load. All twelve slings come on a Notch Speedrack, a rigid rack that clips to a harness or rigging line so the climber can pull off one sling at a time and the ground crew can re-rack them to send back up. The 40 in length suits larger limbs and chunks of wood; the 26 in version is available separately, and the Speedrack holds both lengths, one on each side.
