Compact Long-Bearded Bushcraft Hatchet

The BeaverCraft AX6 is a compact, hand-forged hatchet with a distinctive long-bearded head design that extends the cutting edge below the handle line for better balance and control. At roughly 295-305mm (about 11.6"-12") overall and around 690g bare, it's light enough to carry easily but capable enough for real outdoor work — chopping firewood, building shelters, hunting prep, fieldwork, and general bushcraft.
The head is forged from 1066 high-carbon steel, hardened to 56-58 HRC, with a slightly curved cutting edge and convex grind that bites deep into wood with minimal effort. The bearded profile also improves swing accuracy for more precise, controlled cuts. The Ashwood handle is treated with linseed oil and wax, giving a comfortable, secure grip for both chopping and finer carving tasks.
Each AX6 is professionally sharpened and ready to use out of the box, with the blade securely glued and fitted to the handle. It comes with a genuine cowhide leather sheath and belt loop, protecting the edge and keeping it ready to grab for a weekend trip or an extended bushcraft outing.
