Original LÖWE 8 Anvil Pruner Replacement Anvil with Screw

The anvil is the wear part of the Original LÖWE 8. It is deliberately made from a metal roughly four times softer than the blade steel, so the blade closes onto it without losing its edge. As the blade wears a groove into the anvil, cuts can start to leave a thin strip of bark uncut; a fresh anvil brings back clean, complete cuts and protects a new blade.  This pack contains one anvil and one fixing screw and fits every version of the Original LÖWE 8: the 8.104, 8.107 and 8.109.  Fitting a new anvil does not require removing the centre bolt: undo the anvil screw, swap the anvil and re-tighten. To confirm your model, check the label on the inside of the handle. LÖWE recommends replacing the anvil whenever it shows heavy wear, and it is good practice to check it each time you fit a new blade.
