Original LÖWE 5 Anvil Pruner Replacement Anvil

The anvil is the wear part of an anvil pruner. By design it is made from a metal roughly four times softer than the blade steel, so the blade closes onto the anvil without dulling. Over time the blade leaves a groove in the anvil; once that groove becomes pronounced, a fresh anvil restores clean, complete cuts and protects the edge of a new blade.  This anvil fits the standard-blade Original LÖWE 5 models: 5.100, 5.104, 5.105, 5.107 and 5.109. The pointed-blade 5.124 and 5.127 use a different, pointed anvil. The pack contains the anvil only; the existing anvil screw and sleeve nut are reused.  Fitting a new anvil does not require removing the centre bolt: undo the anvil screw, swap the anvil and re-tighten. To confirm your model, check the label on the inside of the handle. LÖWE recommends replacing the anvil whenever it shows heavy wear, and it is good practice to check it each time you fit a new blade.
