Safety Knife SK

The Hultafors Safety Knife SK is a full-size craftsman's knife with one deliberate difference: the point is blunt. The rounded tip is designed to minimise stab injuries on site, whether from a slip while cutting or from a knife left in a pocket or tool bag, while the edge itself is every bit as sharp as Hultafors' other craftsman's knives. It is the knife to reach for where site rules or common sense call for a safety blade.
The blade is Japanese knife steel, 2.5 mm carbon steel hardened to 58–60 HRC, 88 mm long. The cutting edge is sharpened in several stages before a final honing on a leather strop, so it is ready to work out of the holster. If you prefer stainless steel, the same knife is available as the Safety Knife SKR.
Both the handle and the holster are moulded from super-durable polypropylene. The holster uses Hultafors' button-mount system: slip a button on your work trousers or jacket through the hole, pull the holster down and snap the cover firmly closed. It will not work loose while you move, yet it comes off in seconds by undoing the cover. The holster also fits on a belt; if your belt is thick, simply cut away the small pin on the cover. The SK fits the same holster as the Hultafors Craftsman's Knife HVK.
