Leather Honing Wheel for Tormek T-8, T-7, 2000

The Tormek LA‑220 Leather Honing Wheel is the large honing wheel for full‑size Tormek machines like the T‑8, T‑7 and earlier 2000‑series models. Paired with PA‑70 honing compound, it removes the burr formed during sharpening and polishes the bevel to a fine, durable edge. This final honing step significantly improves sharpness and edge life on chisels, knives, plane irons and other edge tools.
Beyond a fresh grind, the LA‑220 excels as a fast maintenance tool, allowing you to touch up and realign edges between full sharpenings without reshaping the bevel. The wheel features a robust aluminum/ABS hub covered with premium vegetable‑tanned cowhide for long‑term, consistent performance. It fits Tormek T‑8, T‑7 and older machines using a 215–220 mm diameter, 26–30 mm wide leather honing wheel, and comes ready to use with oil for initial leather impregnation.
