Summary

A forged Japanese 3-prong hoe with a high carbon steel head and hardwood handle, built for weeding, cultivating, and harvesting.

Description

The KUSAKICHI Sanbon Hoe is a traditional Japanese hand hoe with a three-prong fork head, forged in one solid piece from high carbon steel. The sharp, slightly curved prongs dig into soil easily, making this a versatile one-hand tool for turning soil, cultivating, weeding, and harvesting. It's equally effective at cutting through tough weeds and roots as it is at loosening compacted garden beds.
The hoe measures 15.5" (390mm) overall, with a 4" long, 3" wide blade head. A comfortable hardwood handle is fitted to the forged head with a wedge at the top, which may need to be tapped back in occasionally as the wood naturally expands and contracts with moisture. Keep the blade sharpened for the best cutting performance over time.
