Description

The Climb Right rope grab is a cam-style lanyard adjuster that replaces the friction hitch on a work-positioning lanyard or flipline. Slide it along the rope to shorten or lengthen the lanyard, and the cam bites as soon as you weight it. Its big improvement over the traditional US-pattern grab is the tensioning spring, which is a strong coil mounted inside the cam rather than an external spring wire that can fray, snag or get cut.

The body is machined from aircraft aluminum in the USA. The fixed pin threads into the body and is secured with a Nyloc nut for double thread-locking security, and replacement springs and hardware are available. Fits 1/2 in to 5/8 in (12 to 15 mm) rope. Not intended for belaying; if overloaded or shock loaded the rope may slip through the device.

Climb Right is the arborist line of Spyder Manufacturing of Placentia, California, which has been sewing and assembling climbing gear for working tree crews for decades. Made in the USA.
